Completely agree. I never even considered following everyone who follows me (@citrustech BTW) . My reasoning is exactly the same, I have a few people I follow. Nick you're one of them. I want a stream I can actually follow and keep up with, otherwise I'd end up actually following no one.

I think Seth godin underlined this point excellently in one of his recent blog posts. You’d rather have a much smaller list of followers who are really interested in what you have to say – rather than mindlessly just following people in the hope that they follow you back.

I read somewhere that the average person can only handle about 200 connections. Social media lets you surpass that far too easily!
