I would like to know how to rank good for competitive keywords easily… is there some kind of a shortcut?
Hi Nick, I have 200 unique visitors a day. I want to know how could I convert my visitors to buyers. There seems to be a ingredient that I have been missing. rgds Jasmine
Great questions so far.
Keep them coming.
Hi Nick,
Are keyword rankings the same across all search engines? In other words, if I find a low competition, high search volume for google, will it be the same for yahoo ect too or do i need to research keywords for each search engine and target different pages for each engine?

Hey nick, I think your site is by far the most helpful site for internet marketing I’ve seen. I have 2 questions. 1. If you see a dofollow link once you install the firefox add-on, what do you do with it next?
2. I have an affiliate site where I sell my own product and receive 100% of the profits. I am really trying to drive huge amounts of traffic to it. I have an affiliate website which I can’t edit the pages of so I have a landing page that redirects and masks the affiliate url. How can I have any links or keywords on the landing page? It redirects right away. But without the ability to have links on the landing page, I will have a hard time getting a decent page rank. Hope you can help? Thanks.
@Chris –
If you find a website that has dofollow links then that means the search engines will follow those links and count the links when it ranks the website that the links are pointing to. So when you build back links to your website you want to make sure you find sites that have dofollow.
Once you have find a blog that uses dofollow you can make a worthwhile comment on a blog and have a link back to your website and the link will be followed by the search engines.
Are you trying to get the affiliate site to rank high in the search engines?
It sounds like you have no control over what’s actually on the website like keywords and things like that.
So the only thing you can do is build links to that website with the appropriate keywords in the link.
I hope that helps. I’d be happy to give you a better answer if I could see the actual page.
Do different traffic combinations work better in certain niches?
How do you get traffic to a blog when it is in a difficult “niche” as internet marketing . do you try and use keywords , commenting,or article writting.

Is there any tool to find high PR blogs w/o creating a list of niche blogs and checking their PR manually?

@David Leffler
> Do different traffic combinations work better in certain niches?
Yes and no.
When it comes to getting traffic to your website there are several standard things like keyword research, building links, search engine optimization, building an e-mail list, etc. These kinds of things are effective regardless of your niche.
There are other things however that may be better suited for certain niches.
For example if you run a website with funny jokes and funny pictures then social bookmarking should work quite well at getting lots of traffic in a very short amount of time. People love to e-mail funny things to their friends and family.
If you have a website about genealogy then it probably will not spread very well with social bookmarking.
Another thing to consider is the demographic that uses a service like Twitter. If the people interested in your niche are the same people use Twitter then Twitter might be a good way to get traffic.
A good example of this is the site http://www.twitip.com/ which is a blog about tips for using Twitter. Not surprisingly, the posts on this blog spread very quickly via Twitter.
So certain traffic combinations will work better for some niches.

There are a number of tools available but I’m not sure if any of them are free. Perhaps you should try doing a Google search for: find high PR blogs

My website was put together about eighteen months ago by a friend because I don’t have the knowledge- I’m a pet and house sitter…
I thought the key words we put up were sufficient but my site is only close to the top of search engines due to advertising through other sites.
Searching for ‘dog sitters in Spain’ doesn’t bring up my site at all!
Can you advise how to improve my rating on Google. Ive not checked other search engines. Do they follow Google or must I put up the site to MSN or others?
Thanks for reading and hope you can help. Elisabeth

As you can see i have an affiliate website in the health market, i don’t as yet have my own product, so how do i compete with the big boys, or should i just give up and move on? I my own gardening business and when i get home i’m very often to knackered to start posting to my blog and creating new pages for the website, but i do what i can. Any help would be appreciated.
I have made a few sales through PPC but i’m not breaking even.
Printed off and read your ebook NicksTrafficTricks at the weekend. Fantastic! Lots of real quality stuff in there and plenty i hadn’t heard of! Best ebook i’v read in the last 2 1/2 years alongside Chris Farrells Create Your Own Website…
Keep it up Nick, kind regards, Paul.
I understand how hard it is to try to run an Internet business while keeping a full-time job. It’s tough but it can be done.
May I recommend building a blog with great information about the health market, or whatever your product is about. Give people quality information and update the content on a regular basis. Updated content means return visitors which is free traffic for you.
Also you should build an e-mail list with valuable information for your readers.
Building a blog and e-mail list are the best ways to build a relationship with people. It’s far easier to sell to people that you have a relationship.
Nearly everyone that makes money online does this.
By the way, Chris Farrell is a friend of mine and a real gentleman.
Nick , bought your traffic videos and got some great info from it. How long does it take for these techniques to start producing organic traffic. Is it realistic to expect it within days, weeks, a couple of months?
All the Best,
chaz
@chaz
It really depends on your niche, your website, and which of the strategies you first implemented.
E-mail me at nickstraffictricks@gmail.com with the name and URL of your site and I would be happy to help you.
Nick, my site , it had a good traffic (almost 100 visitor a day). but now only get around 40 visitors a day. It is because I rarely update my post. Is there any relationship between frequent post update and traffic? how to get more visitor?
Why the pr of my site never increase? it was pr 4 then drop to pr 2 and now pr 0.
So what do you think ?
Thanks
Edy
Nick, is there any relationship between post update and traffic? because my site’s traffic now drop to only 40 visitors daily. It was almost 100 visitors daily. I used to update my site frequently but now I rarely update it. How to get more traffics?
My site was pr4 , then drop to pr 2 and now pr 0. How to get higher pr? Do you think that pr really affect the traffic?
Thanks
Edy
Edy- there could be some relationship between post update and traffic.
I find that when I post something new I get a surge of traffic from twitter, rss, etc.
I also get traffic when I email my new list about my new post.
Worry less about PR and more about creating good content, getting return visitors, and getting backlinks.
Any particular reason you use aweber for your list? I know Jeff Walker recommends it, but I’ve been using phplist installed on my server, which is free. Is aweber worth the money, it seems expensive for large lists?
When your list grows large you may have issues sending large numbers of emails. This is what Aweber specializes in. They have a large cluster of servers and rotating IP addresses.
Guess it’s worth it then, do you have an affiliate link for them? Figure you deserve the commission.
I don’t offhand, but thanks though!
What is the best way to deliver a product and keep it safe from being stolen. I have purchased products and had them delivered through systems like DL guard but sometimes have problems getting the product. What would you say are the best options for delivering and keeping a product from thieves.
It’s a tricky balance. You’ll never fully protect against thieves. DL Guard is pretty good actually but it’s not perfect. I would use something like DL Guard or a simple download page. I expect 5-10% theft of my stuff and I am not going to spend all my time going after thieves. Instead I will focus my efforts creating more products and making more money?
Nick, I am about to release a new digital product and I am looking for affiliate marketers to help with sales.
My question is which platform do you think is better – Clickbank or Paydotcom? Or is there another I had not thought of that you could recommend?
Also, this may be slightly off topic but:
Is there a good cover/cd/ creator you could recommend to make a mock-up of my product that I could use on the sales page?
I currently use eCover Creator but am not finding it so user friendly.
Thanks
I have used clickbank and it seems to work fine. I have no experience with paydotcom. Pick one and give it a try.
Graphics are not my strong suit and so I always outsource my ecover creation to a lady I know.
Thanks Nick, I was thinking of Clickbank and you have helped me decide.
What importance do you place on linking individually to other all pages on a website, rather than just having all the backlinks point to the homepage?
I tend to nearly always link to my homepage or site url, but I have heard that you should link to the rest of the pages as well, is this true?
For links from other websites I usually link to my homepage. Internally I like to do lots of linking to my other pages from homepage.
Cheers Nick, that is the process I use. I am happy to know that if you do that too then it must be the right thing to do!
Just a quick one as I know you don’t pay much creedence to SE rankings Nick.
One of my newish sites was at the top spot for a particular keyword phrase, OK it was the site’s name but it was still a popular term. Suddenly it disappeared to page 2 of the listings, then a day later it reappeared on page 1, only to migrate again 2 days later! Any idea what is going on?!
Same thing happened with one of the main keyword phrases for the site…..one day it was page one, numebr 2 spot, then nowhere to be found!
Google is messsing with me!
Thankfully, I don’t rely on Google for my traffic but I am still trying to get decent SE rankings as it never hurts.
Yup it happens! And there’s not a lot you can do. Luckily there are other ways to get traffic.

I have a problem with regard to keyword research . How do I get to know what my prospective visitors would be searching in the google.
Why do people buy high pr links? When you can get them for free here. You think its worth to buy google ads?
Hey Nick,
Have a quick question for you but wanted to first say how much I appreciate what you are doing here at nicktraffictricks. You are all about something that most bloggers brush over, getting traffic. They all talk about getting money, which obviously has to come from traffic, and it gets kind of annoying when the nich I am trying to survive in is TOTALLY different then what they are working in. So thanks SO much for really giving us what we need to win with!!
Now for my question; Pretty sure I saw somewhere on your site an article about commenting on other peoples sites. I actually have believed in this ever since I have had my own site and it is nice to know I am right every once on a while!! But, when submitting comments I know the latest post is the most important but does that mean we should forget the archived posts? Seems like I should comment on the archived as they are probably still getting traffic, what do you do? Also, should I make it a point to leave a nice, long, helpful and relevant comment on the posts that have lots of comments or should I not wast my time as it will be buried?
Thanks for all your help Nick, your the best!
Ty
Do you have a video where it shows how to buy and sell websites. How do you transfer the websites. How do you know how much space the website is going to need. How do you edit these websites usualy they are wordpress right so do you edit them with html, or css.
If you could help me out because im looking for a good host and i want to learn how to do this because im so good at SEO. Thanks man.
I haven’t actually bought or sold websites personally. Though I do how a fair amount of experience buying domains and building websites.
When you ask “How do you edit these websites” do you mean: How do you modify your content? How do you modify their theme? Or do you mean something else?
For hosting I recommend BlueHost.
Is there any point putting keyword text on your website, anymore? such as
meta name=”keywords” content=”here is where you put your keywords, poodle manicures, poodle manicurist, best poodle manicurist, manicure your poodle ”
meta name=”description” content=” this website will teach you how to manicure your poodle’s feet and teach the beginner the best way to look after your pet”
if this kind of code is still effective. What’s would be the equivalent for a word press site?
I don’t think there’s any point really for using meta-tags. They were heavily abused 10 years ago and search engines have found much better ways to figure out what your site is about.
