Thanks for the article. In terms of “protecting” the content for which you are giving the PDF link, how do you prevent non-newsletter people from downloading the file(s)? I know you can do a noindex, and obviously the only place that it is linked to is from the email to subscribers, but I’m wondering if there are other techniques you use.

Aweber is what I use. I send a message 1-3 times a week.

which autoresponder service is better? aweber or getresponse?

I am confusing on choosing one of them. Have u prepared the autoresponder article for a year? how many time do you send autoresponder to your subscriber?

Absolutely the best piece of advice that you gave, not to discount any of the other steps, is to TEST. Gosh how many of the “gurus” over the last year have had problems with their launches etc. and blamed it on “melt down” of their server, when the real answer was there was a glitch in their order process.

That has to be the number one way to direct a customers confidence to the delete button.

If I could add, it is almost as important to offer a “freebie” that honestly has value.

Ok I wont turn this into a blog entry…sorry…
