Hey Nick,

I had created a new website a few days ago just as you have mentioned in you video and I couldn't agree more about getting tons more traffic if you target Christmas. The problem I'm having is that I went live with my website 3 days ago and it hasn't been indexed yet. I'm pretty confident that when it gets indexed I will get a fair amount of traffic but until then I'm at Google's mercy.

I did go to http://www.google.com/addurl/ and added my URL to Google. I've added a link to my blog to try and pass some link juice and get Googlebot to find my new site. The problem with that is that I haven't posted any new content on my blog for a month because I've been busy with something else and let my blog slip which I know is a huge mistake but there's no sense in crying over spilled milk. I guess I should at least make one new post to maybe trigger Googlebot to crawl my blog.

That's all I have done so now I'm in wait mode. Do you have any suggestions on what else I can do to help my new site get indexed quickly? There are other holidays throughout the year that people can use what you said in the video but if they can't get their site indexed for a month or longer then they will miss the holiday they are targeting.

Is your site not indexed? When you put the full url of the site into Google does anything come up?

Or is your site not coming up for the keywords you're targeting?

What's your site?

I wrote a post on how to get indexed quickly: http://nickstraffictricks.com/1162_8-ways-to-get-…

Hey Nick,

Yes I already read your post which is actually called

"11 Ways To Get Indexed By Google Super Fast And Start Building Backlinks".

As you can see by the date I commented here it was Nov 24th. To see if my site has been indexed I just type the url into Google's search box and see if my site shows up in the results. Well my site showed up on Nov 25th. But something interesting has happened that I noticed before with another site I had but wasn't sure so I just forgot about it. But now it's happened again so I'm curious as to what's happening.

Even though my site doesn't show up in the Google SERP's until Nov 25, when I checked Google's cache it says it took the snapshot on Nov 22. So I'm wondering where is my site hiding in the SERP's for that 3 day period.

Just an FYI.

These are the only things I did to get my site indexed by Google in 3 days.

I uploaded my site on Nov 21 and added my site to Google's add url page on Nov 22. I also put a link on my blog to this new website on Nov 21 and just noticed that the last time the page I put the link on was crawled by Google was on Nov 20 the day before I added that link which tells me that link is irrelevant.

This leads me to believe that the only thing that could have resulted in my new website being indexed was adding my new site to Google's add url page. Either that, or I'm incredibly lucky and I know that's not the case.

Google is quite mysterious and sometimes all you can is do is do a bunch of stuff and hope that something works.

Hey Nick,

How foolish of me to forget this fact. I started an Adwords campaign to get things kick started. I thought that maybe by using Adwords that Google would index my site faster. I have no proof nor have I heard that this method will help but I figured it was worth a try.

The tutorial look pretty good and It really makes me understand how SEO shows the words that you are searching for. Very interesting on how he explains that there are a lot of online business are competing for the word Christmas.

I have heard this too but I cannot verify it. Everything with Google is mystery. :(
