How fast can Twitter send you traffic?

ReTweets are very powerful

You can see how you get a quick surge of traffic when you post something to twitter.  But then it fades out pretty fast.

Imagine if what you tweeted was so awesome that someone found it and retweeted it every 5 minutes! You could have a surge of traffic every 5 minutes and this could go on for hours or days.

Things that people consistently retweet can get 1,000 times more traffic than a post that never gets retweeted.

Twitter does bring some nice traffic, but I didn't think it was as large as you show in your graphs. That is really interesting Nick! Imagine how big those spikes will be when you have 1000 twitter followers.

That would be great wouldn't it! I really don't use my Twitter as much as I should – the majority of my traffic is search engines.
