Nice guest post! I am really picky with who I follow just for the reason that I don't want my Twitter feed to get clogged. For this reason I cannot follow everyone who follows me. I have had people that I have stumbled and commented on constantly who have not followed me back – there is nothing I can do about it, so why worry.
I am also really picky about who I follow on twitter. I thought it was really strange how he reacted.
No, I don't think following back people who follow you on twitter does mean social networking. Twitter following should be free as in following what you like, not following what you have to. Otherwise its a business not social networking.
I agree. But it seems that some people believe that there is some kind of required reciprocity.
