I dont know if belive this, i tired to get a blogger index fast that i just created and ranked google takes longer and it never ranks as high, but if i use one i have had for 6-9 months it seems to get index ranked higher quickly. I think google is telling the truth.

Yeah right.

Say you buy a discounted domain name at say $1 for one year, how does that figure in the algorithm? You had better make sure that your site offers a great user experience LOL.

In the end if you offer great user experience and offer value to your visitors then you will get traffic and it won't matter where Google ranks you.

Will this apply to some blog that is not active for a long time? I have a blog and i didn't touch it for a year. What's your advice regarding to this? Thanks.

I think if you started updating the blog on a regular basis you would be just fine.

I've never bought into the pitch that you have to have the domain registered for multiple years, but I do think there is something to having an "aged" domain outranking a brand new one, given similar content & similar back links. The website I used in this comment is a "test", as it's a couple of years old, but I've never done much with it, so will try my normal linking efforts & I bet it will soar quite quickly.

My bet is it will do quite nicely. I don't think that having multiple years of domain registration is anything more than a fabrication made up by savvy domain registrars, & next minute the idea becomes viral, then voila, all of a sudden they're getting 2x, 3x the income of a registration.

Hi Nick! You have a sensible video in here. I got so much tips on the relationship of a domain's age and its ranking. But I think, regardless of a website's age, if it contains relevant and helpful information, it will really achieved high page rank.

> it will really achieved high page rank

You will probably need some back links to do this.

A analytical video indeed. Yes there being an important relation between getting high PR and domain age. As far as I know, the older the domain, the better chance to get high PR by Google. Ofcourse, anyone can get fast result by creating and informative content and valuable backlinks.

Thanks,

Nick
