I recently conducted a poll asking people if the need help getting traffic with social media.
Here are the results:

What to do with this information
There are numerous things you could do with this knowledge. I plan on writing more posts outlining how to get traffic from social media.
I could modify the advertisements on my blog to be more about social media.
I even thought about setting up some sort of mentoring program where I walked people through social media and help them understand what it is and how to get traffic from it.
I believe that social media is one of the most misunderstood things when it comes to traffic. And it appears that a lot of people are looking for help.

hey nick, i agree with that. most of the people start with it but they don't know how to use max of it. Anyway, thanks for your survey mate.
Sticking with something until the end seems to be one of the hardest parts of any endeavor. And social media is no exception.
Hi guys,
I was very surprised to see that a lot of people need help on social media. My advise in social media is to try to be more sociable before presenting your pitch to prospects. Because I had a young lady that approach me about an business opportunity without even trying to be sociable with me. It was a complete turn-off for me. So I didn't do any business with her.
Kind regards,
Sam

That is so true. I get people e-mailing me frequently that want to sell me something or promote their product and I don't know them and have never heard of them.
I also experience the same thing. In this business you really have to be sociable. If you are not… nothing will happen..You cannot seek help from anybody.
You can't really ask for help from anyone but you can build a relationship and then partner with them.
I think many people are using social media sites to bookmark, but like with bookmarks in a browser, they forget to visit the bookmarked sites again. And when you think about features like Stumbleupons "Recommended sites for Sprachreise Japan from StumbleUpon" which should be targeted on interests identified during the registration process, it is not very helpful.
Only sites that didn't fit my profile and therefore switched off the weekly recommendation mail.
