Nick

This makes perfect sense. I tend to use Gmail all the time, I think it is the best email service.

Never thought about this nice. One thing I have to say though about email marketing is that in my opinion even most gurus are not able to do it properly. If you build a community and get trust you should not start promoting every product you see OR what also happens a lot promote one product too much.

When I started out I subscribed to all these blogging blogs but after some time a marked most of them as spam or unsubscribed. It's cool to get a newsletter that contains value it is not so cool to get 1000 mails promoting a product.

Very true. If you do nothing but promote products with your e-mail list people will soon ignore you and unsubscribe.

@Alex, I agree. We have to vote with that unsubscribe button. ;)

I have the opposite problem. I send regular e-mails but haven't yet found a product to promote. "Visit my blog, please. I'm giving it all away for free."

Have a great weekend!

Yahoo doesn't seem to do this. But 1 thing I noticed in your video was when you did a screen capture you did it after sorting your emails by sender. When people sort alphabetically in any email client your email can get to the top of the list by preceding your name with a symbol like ~, * or – . Each email client is different as to which symbol comes first alphabetically.

P.S. – I do sort alphabetically once in awhile because I occasionally look for a particular email from a sender for a piece of information. I bet others do too.

I have been reading your posts for the last couple of hours, and it all has been very informative and well written. I did want to let you know that for some reason this post doesn't seem to work in Internet Explorer. On a side note, I was wondering if you wanted to swap blogroll links? I hope to hear from you soon!

I checked in the post seemed to work in Internet Explorer 8. Thank you for the offer but I'm not really interested in exchanging blog roll links at this time.

Never really paid attention to the words after the subject. All I do is read the subjest and decide whether to open or not. But these little things add up and attention to these can spell success or failure. Thanks once again for the tip.
