Video: How to build a community and get people involved with your website

One reader asked:

How do I increase people to my website and not only look but also register?

The answer is to give people what they want. This starts with giving great content that fills their wants & needs. But it goes beyond that and involves interacting with your followers.

This short video shows you exactly how to do that.

something which would be useful, and may help with your SEO, would be to have a summary of actions, e.g. interact, respond, given them a reason to subscribe, provide a mechanism to subscribe.

Well Nick, you are the perfect person to talk about how to get people involved because you really have an interactive/multimedia site.

Great tips Nick.

I remember a guy who set up a portal in a niche. Not a niche that marketers would ever think to monetise.

Based on the shared interest of the site, the chap and I had a lot of email conversation and definitely I felt part of the community, I even dropped his link in forums and other places because I regarded the guy as a friend.

So your tip definitely works!

Chris

Many people use popups and such like to get more people to register.

A new one called Popup Dominator is doing the rounds where some marketers claim that their subscription rates have increased by 2 or 3 fold.

What's your opinion on using these devices?

Thanks
