Here is a great video on link building for search engine optimization.
In it Wil Reynolds explains how to capture links and the value of content to earn deep links while at the Affiliate Summit.
One of my favorite tips from the video was that we will get links if we develop stuff (articles, videos, reviews, etc) that are worth linking to.

This is a great video, thanks for sharing it. It offers great tips for link building and I agree if one posts articles that are valuable others will link to it and you will get more back links and more publicity.
I've been a huge fan of Will, he is brilliant when it comes to SEO, and his SEO videos on youtube prove it! Personally I find that his channel is one of the best on youtube as far quality SEO videos go! I discovered him about 1-2 years ago, and been always on the look out for the videos he posts here.. and there… monthly offcourse
Which he'd go on a little bit more about the robots.txt that he was talking about in regards to reciprocal linking.
Till then,
Jean
Hey Guys love that you find my videos valuable. I have been off the speaker circuit a bit, so nothing new for a while, but I should have some stuff up again in the next few months.
Are you guys going to ASE? I am really planning on going into some real new stuff.
Also nick, a little link love over to our blog or youtube channel would be great! Thanks for the kind words and support.
@jean I am not a HUGE source of knowledge on the robots.txt but you can read the stuff I thought was good here http://www.pickwilsbrain.com/#robots.txt“>:http://www.pickwilsbrain.com/#robots.txt
best!
This is all good stuff, and I'll be checking out Wills other stuff on YouTube.
One thing though is that the google search links: always seems to come up short. If I do this with my domain, I get an awful lot less results than Google webmaster tools shows me. So I assume I'm also getting an awful lot less details about other websites.
Yah you gotta go through their webmaster tools to get accurate data.
