TE's can generate a lot of traffic to your website but most of it is irrelevant which translates into a high Bounce Rate. It is typically best to grow a site organically. Link your website with like minded websites or blogs and give new users a reason to come back to your site (done via frequent updates, listening and responding to user comments, etc.). Get your website listed in QUALITY directories (DMOZ.org, Yahoo!, etc.) and forget the rest. Finally, syndicate your articles through social media networks and ask these users to contribute to your efforts (help you create articles, help revise articles, critique your articles, etc.).
