Yahoo! has been on its last legs for seeming ever. I've long since stopped caring about Yahoo! search and no it's irrelevant anyway.

The biggest lost for me will be the trustworthyness of Yahoo!'s site explorer which I suspect will now get more and more out of date

Excellent point. I haven't bothered with Yahoo or their search for quite some time.

I hope this move will revitalize Yahoo! Yahoo needs a boost in the arm at this point, I must say it's gonna be interesting how the msn/yahoo relationship will playout in the future.

Till then,

Jean

I think yahoo is dead when it comes to search. No one is going to stop using Google and switch to Yahoo.

Yahoo was the first search engine I used. Sadly, I can't remember the last time I used it once I discovered Google. Still, competition is always a good thing and brings out the best to offer so I hope Yahoo/Bing can still mount a charge.

Competition is good but Yahoo doesn't have a snowball's chance.
