1. Squidoo is easy to use. Half the struggle in creating a website is building it. You can always hire someone to do it for you but then you have a static site. Squidoo lets you play around and add and change and improve as you see fit.
2. You do not have to be an SEO expert. The big search engines (Google, Yahoo and MSN) love Squidoo lens and rank those lenses high. Part of this is that these engines know that Squidoo is not going to be one of those fake sites that has been SEO optimized but it full of spun articles and annoying pretend links.
3. It’s free. New internet marketers are often on a tight budget. Squidoo is a great way to get market your products, you can keep your overheads low as it is completely free to set up a Squidoo account and create as many lenses as you want.
4. It’s interactive. You can add all kinds of related elements. YouTube and blogs and all those places that have millions of users can be attached to your lens.
5. It tracks your visitors. On your dashboard, you can look at your stats. This gives you a summary of the visitors to your lens and information on where the traffic is coming from and what links they visited.
6. It makes being a webmaster completely easy. You don’t need the hassle of finding a domain name, buying the domain name, finding hosting….well you get the picture. You can have as many Squidoo lens as you want.
7. You can make money. Squidoo offers affiliate programs, Amazon, eBay, Adsense and other such links so that you get a share of the Squidoo revenue. You don’t even have to join any program. Just link into Squidoo’s programs.
8. It’s a great way to build a list. How many times have you heard that the money is in the list. You can add an opt-in form and start building a great big tightly targeted opt in list. Does it get any better than this?

How about reason #10? You can earn money for a deserving non-profit or make pages that donate to the Squidoo charity fund? It’s a nice little internet addiction that can help out a good cause along with your own pockets.

First and foremost what a fantastic blog. I have been reading here religiously since you began this blog and it is without doubt one of the best and most comprehensive blogs out there, particularly in the IM Niche.
Just thought you’d like to know that you made a small typo… you went from reason 3 to reason 5, so there are 8 reasons on the post. Perhaps you can use some of the reasons above to make it up to 9, or perhaps roll it out into 10 reasons.
