And when you post the interview on your blog, the person you interviewed will usually tweet a link to it to their followers on Twitter.

Great article. I find that interviewing someone influential in your field, especially if you are trying to establish yourself can bring in a new and hopefully large readership. Then once they are there, hopefully you can keep them with the rest of your content.

I definitely agree with this. Whenever I frequent a lot of sites of a similar niche, I find myself drawn to the interviews a lot more than the usually generic and nearly identical news stories or articles.

Thank you for this great hint. When I digg deeper into some niches I’m able to see where it’s worth the time dealing with other webmasters. They can help you by giving interviews and gain some credits for their own sites.

Interviews are a good way to increase traffic and authority great tips, here!
uh huh, good idea, but reaching to a famous person is not easy for such people are often very busy with their own life.
Thanks Nick. As I like INTERVIEWS very much as its make learn so many new things and also its plays an role of powerful motivational and inspiration source.
interviews are a great way to gain popularity. usually the person you interview will also promote the interview b/c he is proud of being interviewed.
If you cannot find anyone to interview, have yourself interviewed (you shoud be an expert in your niche, right?).
Interviews are a sure way to increase traffic to your site. This is because when you interview someone important or influential people want to know their opinions on different issues. It is not a must that you interview someone important but any person familiar with the topic you want to ask questions on can do. Readers want to know what other people are doing out there and conducting an interview is a good way to capture such readers attention.
i didn’t think about that fact that they will probably promote the interview via twitter and facebook, that is great added value.
Now a days, many site admins are conducting interviews of popular bloggers which make them more popular. It is right that we can get traffic from interviews.

It is interesting and valuable. It is sure that interview method is not well known but very effective. But many bloggers do not find an opportunity to interview with a famous person. So it is required to be more professional.

When you compare your TE Toolbox tracking statistics with the number of hits a traffic exchange said it delivered, you can clearly see if an exchange is stealing from you and wasting your time by not delivering the amount of traffic it says it is.thanks
Interviewing is definitely something that would be really useful and engaging. The trick I guess would be to ask questions that your audience are also asking and want answers to.
Thanks for this tip: +1 to mental post it notes
