Google isn't listing my website on the front page – even tho Yahoo is. What am I doing wrong? I've only launched the website in August this year and I've done a bit of DIY SEO on it over the last few weeks – the webiste is http://www.personalisedgiftsongs.com – any ideas? would be really grateful thank you!

While it could depend on a ton of different things. First off what keywords are you trying to rank for in Google?

i had watched your site and i think a thing is that google is better in reading a html web page but it seems that u build it in flash or something like that so that can be a reason that google has a little problem to crawl all of your content. u might want to consider to build your webpage in html and add flash to it so it is much easyer for the spiders to read your site so that u can have a higher rank in search engine with just your onsite seo. and ofcourse building backlinks is also a good idea. when u build a backlink u should use a ping service like ping.fm to ping your backlink site with google so they all get indexed faster

Hey Nick,

I came across your blog via the WF. I'm a newbie and a very young website owner. I'd like you to please review my website – thenoobdiary.com, which I want to be the Indian Mashable or a kinda all-in-one blog. I searched for my website via the keyword – "thenoobdiary", and it was on top. But, it's not the same case when I put in – "the noob diary". What am i doing wrong? And, why am I not even listed when i type this search word. Thanks for the help sir!!

Who is your target audience?

Where can you find a high concentration of them online?

What keywords do they use for searching on Google?
